Multiple Fires Engulf Phoenix Industrial and Downtown Areas

Firefighters in Phoenix battled a massive third-alarm fire in an industrial area near 7th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. The fire started in a three-story commercial landfill and recycling building and quickly spread, but crews were able to knock down the flames within an hour and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings. Around 100 firefighters from five different cities helped fight the blaze, and no injuries were reported. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
