Massive Fire Destroys Building in Southwest Las Vegas

A large fire broke out at an apartment building under construction in southwest Las Vegas, causing heavy smoke and impacting traffic. No injuries have been reported, but the building is considered unstable and a total loss. The Clark County Fire Department responded with 75 personnel, 11 engines, and three trucks, and their initial defensive strategy prevented damage to surrounding buildings. The exposed wood of the construction site and high winds were concerns for fire crews.
