Christian Cooper, the Black birder who went viral after a white woman falsely accused him of threatening her in Central Park, has turned his experience into a memoir and a TV show. Cooper's memoir, "Better Living through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World," is out this week, and his show, "Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper," premieres on Nat Geo Wild on Saturday. Cooper hopes to use his platform to spread the gospel of birding and inspire young Black kids to take up the hobby.
