FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried Jailed for Witness Tampering in Crypto Case

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has been sent to jail after a judge revoked his bail, citing repeated attempts to influence witnesses against him. Bankman-Fried is accused of stealing billions of dollars in FTX customer deposits, making illegal campaign donations, and diverting cryptocurrency from customers. The judge found probable cause to believe Bankman-Fried attempted witness tampering and concluded that he had pushed the boundaries of his bail package. Bankman-Fried's lawyers argued that his motives were innocent, but the judge rejected their request to suspend the incarceration order. Bankman-Fried will be held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
