"Wrong-Way Crash Kills Michigan Couple, Leaving 6 Children Orphaned"

A Romulus man has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and other felonies for allegedly causing a wrong-way crash on the Lodge freeway that killed a Farmington Hills couple. The man, Angel Melendez-Ortiz, is accused of eluding police in a stolen vehicle, leading to the fatal crash that claimed the lives of Ryan and Jen Ambrosio. The couple, aged 45 and 43, were returning home from a date night when the incident occurred. The suspect is currently hospitalized for medical treatment, and an arraignment is expected in the 46th District Court in Southfield.
