Utah Author Kouri Richins Accused of Murdering Husband with Poison

Eric Richins, the slain husband of Kouri Richins, suspected that his wife was trying to poison him but stayed with her to spare their children from growing up in a broken home. Eric was a devoted father who loved coaching his kids' sports teams and teaching them about hunting and the outdoors. Kouri is accused of killing Eric with a fentanyl-laced Moscow Mule and later wrote a book about children's grief. Eric's family is battling Kouri for his $3.6 million estate. Kouri has been charged with first-degree aggravated murder and multiple counts of second-degree possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
