Unsecured firearm leads to tragic death of Michigan toddler, child of police officer.

A 2-year-old child in Michigan died in an accidental shooting after gaining access to an unsecured firearm. The child was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. It's not clear if the child was supervised at the time of the shooting. This year alone, there have been 136 unintentional shootings by children in the U.S., resulting in 55 deaths and 84 injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
