"Unprovoked Attacks: Women Speak Out on Being Punched in the Face on NYC Streets"

A 57-year-old woman, Dulce Pichardo, was brutally sucker punched in an unprovoked attack in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, leaving her with a fractured face, permanent damage to her lower lip, and three knocked-out teeth. The attacker, 33-year-old Franz Jeudy, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault, but due to being not bail eligible, he will be released back onto the street, causing fear and frustration for the victim and her family. Pichardo, who was returning from work when the attack happened, is now afraid to be close to anyone and is seeking protection when going out.
