Unabomber Ted Kaczynski dies in prison at 81.

Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, died at the age of 81 in a federal prison medical center in Butner, North Carolina. He was serving four life sentences plus 30 years for a 17-year bombing campaign that killed three people and injured 23 others. Kaczynski's homemade bombs changed the way Americans mailed packages and boarded airplanes, and his manifesto led to his capture. He was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and had been held in the federal Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, before his transfer to the prison medical facility.
