Suspect in Lawrence Police shooting surrenders following teen's death.

Derrick Del Reed, a 17-year-old suspect in a shooting that killed a local teen, turned himself in to the Lawrence Police Department and was transported to the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center. The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Maple Lane, and witnesses say the teen arrived at the apartment complex address wounded. Reed's unoccupied car was located within the city's limits and is being processed by investigators. The police have determined that both teen males know each other, and Reed should be considered armed and dangerous.
