Suspect in Gorge campground shooting claims drug-induced hallucination.

James Kelly, a 26-year-old soldier stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, claimed he was hallucinating on mushrooms and believed "the world was ending" when he fatally shot two people and injured three others at the Beyond Wonderland music festival. Kelly's girlfriend reported that he repeatedly said, "This is the end." He also shot at a security team and a drone before being approached by law enforcement and taken into custody. Kelly remains in police custody and is facing charges of two first-degree murders and three first-degree assaults.
