St. Croix County Deputy Killed in Line of Duty.

A St. Croix County deputy, Kaitie Leising, was fatally shot while responding to a call about a possible drunk driver in Glenwood. The suspected drunk driver, Jeremiah Johnson, shot Leising after being evasive to her requests for field sobriety testing. Leising fired at Johnson three times, but none of the shots hit him. Johnson fled into a wooded area and was later found dead with a handgun nearby. The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
