Spate of Shootings Leaves Omaha Community Reeling

A 16-year-old teenager was killed and five others were injured in a shooting incident in north Omaha. Omaha Police's Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred during a large after-hours gathering. The victims were taken to different hospitals by private vehicles, and their conditions are currently unknown. Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer expressed deep sadness over the violent loss of life and urged anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit. A $25,000 reward is being offered for tips leading to the arrest of a homicide suspect.
