Spate of Shootings in Short North, Columbus.

A resident of Short North, Columbus, who woke up to the sound of 30 to 40 gunshots on his street, is calling for more accountability and action from city leaders following a recent rash of shootings that left three people dead and several others injured. While he believes any place could potentially be unsafe due to the prevalence of guns, he does not think the Short North is inherently unsafe. Both the mayor and police chief have issued statements calling for common sense safety laws and greater control over the availability of weapons.
