"Son Arrested for Brutal Decapitation of Mother in Ocean City Murder"

Jeffrey Surgent, a 46-year-old man with a history of mental illness, allegedly decapitated his 74-year-old mother, Alexandri M. Surgent, in their Ocean City apartment. Surgent called 911 to confess to the murder, and when police arrived, they found him naked and covered in blood. He was charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
