Publisher cuts ties with illustrator over anti-trans remarks.

Children's book illustrator Mitchell Thomas Watley was dropped by his publisher after being arrested for allegedly posting transphobic notes threatening children in Juneau, Alaska. The notes included an assault rifle superimposed over the transgender flag and read, "Feeling Cute Might Shoot Some Children." Watley is best known as the illustrator for three children's books written by his wife, including "I Would Tuck You In" and "You Are Home With Me." The publisher, Sasquatch Books, owned by Penguin Random House, has ended its publishing relationship with Watley and will discontinue selling their books.
