"Portland Man Convicted of Murdering Girlfriend in Acadia National Park Hit-and-Run"

Raymond Lester, a man from Portland, has been found guilty of intentionally or knowingly murdering his girlfriend, Nicole Mokeme, in a hit-and-run incident near Acadia National Park. Witnesses reported that Lester was intoxicated and behaving erratically before driving his SUV off the road and onto a walking path, fatally striking Mokeme. He was apprehended in Cancun, Mexico, and extradited back to Maine to face trial.
