Police refute claim that missing 6-year-old was sold at Texas supermarket

The search for missing 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez has turned into a death investigation, with police searching for his body. His mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, is believed to have used him to receive government benefits and fled to India with her new husband and six other children once they began asking questions about Noel's whereabouts. Felony warrants have been issued for the couple's arrest. Witnesses reported that Noel was unhealthy and malnourished, and his mother referred to him as "evil" and "possessed." A candlelight vigil will be held for Noel.
