The Wilmington Police Department has identified Edwin Leroy Vaughan, 69, as the suspect who allegedly shot at officers near South College Road and Randall Parkway. Vaughan, who has a history of displaying weapons to officers, fled to a BP gas station and fired at police when they arrived, prompting officers to return fire. No injuries were reported, and Vaughan has been taken into custody. The incident is under investigation, and additional charges are expected to be filed.
