Phoenix Police Investigate String of Violent Incidents in Various Areas of the City

A man died after being pulled over by police in west Phoenix and fleeing the stop. The driver initially did not comply with police commands and attempted to flee on foot. After a search, the man was found and less lethal force was used, but he ultimately shot himself and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's identity has not been released.
