Pennsylvania Women Sentenced for Role in Jan. 6 Capitol Riots

Far-right extremist Riley Williams, who stormed the U.S. Capitol and directed a mob towards the office of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is set to be sentenced on Thursday. Williams was convicted on six counts, including felony civil disorder and resisting and impeding certain officers. Federal prosecutors sought a sentence of more than seven years in federal prison, while Williams' defense requested a sentence of one year and a day. Williams' mother and fiancé wrote letters to the court, describing her desire for a simple life and to be a mother and wife.
