Pennsylvania mother charged with murdering 11-year-old son over financial struggles.

Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, a mother from Horsham Township, Pennsylvania, has been charged with first-degree and third-degree murder after her 11-year-old son was found dead in their home. The boy had signs of strangulation, and an autopsy ruled the cause of death as "ligature strangulation." DiRienzo-Whitehead was taken into custody by Wildwood Crest police after her SUV was found partially submerged in the ocean off Beach Avenue in Cape May, more than 120 miles away from their Horsham home.
