Pennsylvania Mom Charged with Strangling 11-Year-Old Son to Death.

Ruth Dirienzo-Whitehead, a 50-year-old real estate agent from Horsham Township, Montgomery County, has been charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and possessing an instrument of crime after allegedly strangling her 11-year-old son with her husband's belt. She fled to the Jersey Shore, where she was found and taken into custody. Dirienzo-Whitehead told detectives that she killed her son because she did not want him to grow up with the family's financial struggles. She had numerous posts on her Facebook page about her love for the beach and the ocean.
