Omaha Councilman Vinny Palermo and Co-Defendants Ordered to Remain Detained Until Trial

Omaha Councilman Vinny Palermo, along with three other suspects, will remain detained on federal charges, including wire fraud and various financial schemes, until trial. The court stated that Palermo posed a "serious risk of obstruction or attempted obstruction of justice, and of actual or attempted intimidation of witnesses." Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert and City Council members have called for Palermo's resignation.
