NYC Art Professor Arrested for Threatening Reporter with Machete

Shellyne Rodriguez, a New York City artist and college professor, was arrested on charges of menacing and harassment after holding a machete to a journalist's neck and threatening to chop him up. The confrontation came after the New York Post published a story about an earlier episode in which Rodriguez had cursed at anti-abortion activists at Hunter College, where she was an adjunct assistant professor. Hunter College subsequently fired Rodriguez, who identifies herself as an artist, educator, writer, and community organizer.
