Norwich Police Arrest Suspect After Intensive Search

Norwich police apprehended Zachary Verley, a wanted man with a prior warrant, following a search near the New London Turnpike. Verley had left the location on foot before police arrived, prompting a search with the assistance of State Police and K9 units. After receiving calls with sightings, Verley was taken into custody and charged with Interfering with an Officer, Carrying a dangerous weapon, Criminal violation of a Restraining Order, and Assault on Public Safety.
