"Murder Charges Filed Against Hospital Workers in Death of Black Man at Psychiatric Institution"

Three employees of Central State Hospital in Virginia have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Irvo Otieno, following charges filed against seven Henrico sheriff’s deputies earlier this week. The employees are accused of standing by while Otieno was smothered by the deputies, despite the fact that he offered no resistance. Otieno died on March 6, and his family will address the media for the first time on Thursday, March 16.
