Multiple Shootings in Columbia Leave Teen Dead and Others Injured

A Columbia police officer was injured and a suspect, identified as a gang member on probation, was taken into custody after reports of shots fired in Columbia, South Carolina. The suspect, who was shot but is expected to recover, fired at the officer as soon as he stepped out of his car.
