Multiple Charges Filed in Jefferson City for Sex Crimes, Burglaries, and Shots Fired Incident

Jennifer Cecil, a volunteer at an undisclosed school in Cole County, Missouri, has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree statutory rape, and having sexual contact with a student. The victim, a teenager, reported the incidents to the Cole County Sheriff's Office, stating that the relationship was initiated by Cecil and that they primarily communicated through Instagram using "vanish mode" to make messages disappear. The probable cause statement also mentions the exchange of sexually explicit images. Cecil allegedly confessed to the assaults when confronted by the victim's parents.
