Multiple Arrests Made in Standoff Situations Across Colorado and Nebraska

A man was arrested in Colorado Springs after threatening police officers with a firearm during their efforts to apprehend him for domestic violence-related offenses. The suspect, Austin Houge, 27, had armed himself and threatened to shoot at officers who continued their efforts. Residents in the area were sent a shelter-in-place alert due to Houge’s threats. No officers or community members were injured during the incident. Houge will be booked on multiple charges, including felony menacing, aggravated cruelty to animals, criminal mischief, child abuse, and DUI.
