Mother of Irvo Otieno alleges mistreatment and failure to help in Virginia mental hospital death.

Footage released by prosecutors shows that Irvo Otieno, a 28-year-old Black man, was forcefully pinned down by sheriff officials and mental hospital workers in Virginia until he stopped moving and his body went limp. Seven sheriff deputies and three hospital staffers have been charged with second-degree murder in Otieno's death. The video shows at least ten people pushing down on Otieno while he was restrained and on the floor. The probe into the events before Otieno's death is ongoing.
