"Mom's Help Leads to Recaptured Convicted Sex Offender"

A convicted sex offender, Robert Yancy Jr., escaped from a Texas prison with the help of his mother, Leonor Priestle, who slipped him a disguise and an ID badge. Yancy was arrested the next day, while his mother and her boyfriend were also apprehended for their involvement. Priestle, a former correctional officer, may have had inside information to facilitate the escape. Yancy was recognized by parkgoers and apprehended after attempting to use the prison ID as his own. He is serving a life sentence without parole for sexually abusing a child. The prison is investigating security processes following the incident.
