Mississippi escapee eludes manhunt, authorities suspect he's fled the area

Deputies have suspended their search for Ryan Young, an escapee from Mississippi, in Pointe Coupee Parish. Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the manhunt, but authorities believe Young is no longer in the area. Young, who is serving a 40-year sentence for various crimes, escaped while being transported to court.
