Missing Man Sentenced for Rape Found Dead: Tragic End to a Disturbing Case

Tyler Watkins, a man who fled during his trial and was found guilty of rape charges, was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He had been sentenced to life plus an additional 176 years for multiple charges, including rape and child exploitation. Watkins had cut off his ankle monitor and was discovered behind a building in South Memphis.
