Man faces charges for making false threats in US and Canada.

Ashton Connor Garcia, a 20-year-old man from Washington state, has been arrested and charged with 10 felony counts for making over 20 "swatting" calls across the US and Canada. Garcia used voice-over-internet technology to conceal his identity and broadcasted the calls on social media. He faces up to a decade in prison for his fake reports of bombs, shootings, and other threats that prompted real emergency responses. Garcia is also accused of collecting personal information about his victims and threatening to send emergency responses to their homes unless they turned over money, credit card information, or sexually explicit images.
