"Man Convicted in $9M Cow Manure Ponzi Scheme"

Raymond Brewer, a California man, has been sentenced to over six years in prison for running a $8.75 million Ponzi scheme centered around a nonexistent factory that was supposed to convert cow manure into green energy. Brewer falsely claimed to be an engineer running a company that built anaerobic digestion plants, promising investors significant profits and tax incentives. However, he never began construction on any digester and instead used the money to purchase personal assets. Brewer was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay restitution to the victims.
