"Justice Sought for 4-Year-Old Killed in California Road Rage Shooting"

Byron Burkhart, the suspect in the road-rage killing of a 4-year-old boy in Lancaster, California, made his first court appearance where he was charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder with use of a firearm. He was ordered to be held on over $5 million bail. Burkhart allegedly fired eight shots into the car of the victim's family, killing the young boy. The suspect's girlfriend, who was believed to be in the car during the shooting, was released from custody and is not facing charges at this time. Authorities used license-plate readers to locate the suspect's vehicle, and Burkhart is expected to return to court next month for his arraignment.
