Jan. 6 Capitol Rioter Sentenced to Over 4 Years for Putting Feet on Pelosi's Desk

Richard "Bigo" Barnett, a Jan. 6 rioter who was pictured with his foot on a desk in Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office, has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison. Barnett was found guilty of eight criminal offenses, including interfering with law enforcement during a civil disorder and obstructing the certification of the 2020 election that took place at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Prosecutors accused Barnett of seeking to profit from his case by selling autographed photos of himself and considering seeking copyright protections for an obscene note he left Pelosi that day.
