Hospital Birth Decapitation Ruled Homicide

The death of a baby who was decapitated during birth at a metro Atlanta hospital has been ruled a homicide by the Clayton County Medical Examiner’s Office. The family has filed a lawsuit against the doctor, OBGYN practice, nurses, and hospital, alleging medical negligence and wrongful death. The hospital claims the infant died in utero prior to delivery, while the family accuses the hospital of trying to cover up the decapitation. The case may be handed to the District Attorney’s office for possible prosecution.
