High-speed police pursuit spans San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys as officers chase burglary suspects

Three burglary suspects in a Mercedes sedan led police on a high-speed chase from the San Fernando Valley to the Inland Empire until officers stopped them with a well-executed PIT maneuver. The suspects were able to maintain speeds over 50 mph by sticking to carpool lanes and weaving through traffic. The chase ended when a CHP vehicle performed a PIT maneuver, causing the Mercedes to spin and the suspects to surrender without further incident.
