High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrests in Henry County

Two individuals have been arrested in Henry County, Virginia, following a chase that involved a deputy firing a service revolver. The incident began when a driver swerved into the deputy's lane, prompting a traffic stop. The driver, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, resisted arrest and fled the scene, leading deputies on a 37-mile pursuit. Spike strips were eventually used to stop the suspect vehicle, and both occupants were taken into custody. The sheriff has requested an investigation into the deputy's use of force.
