Former US Army soldier pleads guilty to gun charges in connection to plot targeting racial minorities.

Former US Army soldier Noah Edwin Anthony, who was accused of plotting to "physically remove" Black and brown people in several North Carolina counties, has pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered short-barrel rifle. The illegal firearm was discovered in March 2022, and Anthony was involuntarily separated from the military in February 2023. The search of his room uncovered white supremacist literature, t-shirts, and patches, as well as evidence of a preliminary self-titled "operation" aimed at removing Black and brown people from several counties. Anthony faces up to 10 years in prison and is scheduled for sentencing on July 25.
