"Former Student Exposes UNLV Gunman's Inappropriate Classroom Behavior"

Former students of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) shooter, Anthony Polito, have come forward with unsettling experiences while studying under him at East Carolina University (ECU). One student reported that Polito made a sexual comment about her outfit in class, while another claimed he made unwanted contact through emails and texts and even bought her gifts. Polito resigned from his tenured associate professor position at ECU in 2017, but it is unclear if it was related to these incidents. The students are speaking out to encourage others to report mistreatment by people in positions of power. Polito targeted and killed three faculty members at UNLV on December 6, 2023.
