Former La Habra police chief, Alan Hostetter, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his involvement in the January 6th Capitol riot. Hostetter, who brought weapons and tactical gear to the Capitol, was convicted of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and entering a restricted building with a dangerous weapon. He had planned and coordinated with other defendants to obstruct Congress and made speeches calling for the execution of his political rivals. Hostetter's sentence is one of the longest handed out for the Capitol breach, and over 1,230 individuals have been charged in connection with the incident.
