Former Ohio House Speaker Transferred to Oklahoma Prison for 20-Year Sentence

Former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, convicted in a corruption scheme involving bribery and money laundering, has been transferred to an Oklahoma federal prison to serve his 20-year sentence. Householder and lobbyist Matt Borges were found guilty of participating in a $60 million bribery scheme funded by FirstEnergy Corp. to secure Householder's power and pass a $1 billion nuclear power plant bailout. Borges, sentenced to five years, is serving his time in a federal prison in Michigan. The investigation into the corruption scheme remains ongoing.
