Former Maryland political aide killed by law enforcement in Tennessee manhunt.

Roy McGrath, former chief of staff to former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, was shot and killed during an encounter with law enforcement agents in Tennessee after a three-week manhunt. McGrath was considered a fugitive by the U.S. Marshals after missing his federal fraud trial. He was indicted on charges of failure to appear, fraud, theft of funds, and falsifying records. McGrath was set to be tried on federal charges stemming from his time running the Maryland Environmental Service.
