Florida Woman Granted Bond Despite Admitting to Racial Slurs and Fatal Shooting of Black Neighbor

A Florida woman, Susan Louise Lorincz, was arrested on a charge of manslaughter after fatally shooting her Black neighbor, Ajike "AJ" Owens, during a dispute over children playing outside. Lorincz admitted to hurling racial slurs at Owens' children in the past and claimed Owens threatened to kill her. Witnesses reported a history of negative interactions between Lorincz and children in the neighborhood. Lorincz's bond was set at $154,000, and she is facing charges of culpable negligence, battery, and two counts of assault. If she posts bond, she is not allowed to possess a firearm or have any contact with the victim's family.
