Florida Executes Third Death Row Inmate, Darryl Barwick.

Darryl Barwick, a convicted murderer, is set to be executed by lethal injection in Florida for the 1986 murder of Rebecca Wendt. Barwick's last meal was Southern comfort food, and he spent his last hours alone with no visitors. His execution will be the third in three months after a three-and-a-half year hiatus due to COVID-19. Barwick has spent 36 years on death row, nearly double the U.S. average, and his attorneys' last-minute petition to the U.S. Supreme Court for a stay of execution was denied.
