Father Beaten to Death While Protecting Children from Schoolyard Fight Retaliation

A Maryland father, Christopher Michael Wright, died after being beaten by an angry mob of two adults and three teens who approached his home after a schoolyard fight involving his fiancée's son. Wright refused to let them speak with the boy and was assaulted. He sustained life-threatening injuries and died in the hospital from traumatic brain injury. Police are treating the incident as a homicide and have asked for information. No arrests have been made.
