Fatal Subway Confrontation: Man Dies After Chokehold

A deadly confrontation occurred in the NYC subway system when a former Marine restrained a passenger who was acting erratically. The 24-year-old man put the 30-year-old man in a chokehold, and the latter was found unresponsive on the floor after being released. The police arrived and took the younger man into custody for questioning but released him without charging him. The cause of death is yet to be determined by the medical examiner, and detectives are investigating the incident. The man who died had more than 40 prior arrests and an active warrant out for his arrest from a felony assault charge.
